Draxel is a free 2D CAD application for Windows designed to make accurate technical drawing straightforward and responsive. It provides familiar drawing and modification tools without removing the precision expected from established CAD workflows.

Create lines, rectangles, circles, ellipses, arcs, polylines, text, images and fills, then add linear, angular and radius dimensions. Editing tools include move, copy, rotate, mirror, scale, trim, chamfer, fillet, join and separate. Drawings can use layers and layer folders, colours, linetypes, visibility controls and locking, together with configurable grids, angle snapping and comprehensive object snaps.

Draxel works in both metric and imperial units and supports tolerances for technical drawing. It imports and exports DWG and DXF, uses its native DRX format, and can export to PDF, SVG, EMF and high-resolution PNG. Scale-controlled printing, sheet layouts, title blocks and revision information help produce professional documentation. Supported 3D CAD entities can be projected into editable 2D geometry, while unsupported objects are reported rather than silently discarded.

The interface is available in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese. Draxel is free for private and corporate use, with no subscription, advertising, feature limits or required cloud account.
